Sam Burchfield | Musician

I had a great time photographing this crazy talented musician. If you haven't checked out Sam Burchfield's music, you're missing out! We took some shots at my studio in Watkinsville before heading outside, where we joined up with Sam's bandmate, Zach Wells. These two together are almost too much to handle. :) Enjoy! Lindsay Drake

Lindsay Drake - singer, songwriter, and pianist - is going to take the world by storm with her majestic voice and songwriting talent.  Her artistry blows me away, and she's also such a sweet, down-to-earth person to be around.  I enjoyed a fun day of shooting with her at my studio and also Ashford Manor in Watkinsville, GA.  I love the images we captured, and I couldn't have done it without a truly glowing subject.  "Like" her Facebook page here to follow her musical journey, and keep up with more of my work on Facebook as well!  Can't wait to see what's in store for this budding artist.

Schafer Gray Music

This session with Schafer Gray was the first time I've ever photographed a musician, and I must say - it really stretched my creativity!  Before the session, I asked Schafer to send me some photos that he was inspired by.  Well, let's just say they were nothing like my normal style... but I loved them.  I could tell that what he was looking for was going to be very different than what I normally do with my brides.  So during this shoot, I really stepped outside of my "comfort zone" and experimented with different concepts and new styles of editing.  And I absolutely love the images we created!  I want to thank Schafer for trusting me and giving me free rein to experiment with new ideas.  Hint: when you give photographers creative freedom, they often create even better images!  This was also the very first session I had done in my indoor studio (some of the photos).  The rest of the session was at Ashford Manor Bed & Breakfast in Watkinsville, a gorgeous event and wedding venue, and ultimately a field for some yummy sunset shots.  Enjoy!  And feel free to contact me if you're an artist - I love working with other creatives!
