Fun & Flowers in a Field of Cotton

Sometimes you just need to try something new.  I've been wanting to shoot in a cotton field for quite some time now, and I realized last week that the nearby fields were starting to be chopped down and harvested.  I could let another year pass without photographing the cotton, or I could get to work… so I did.  I began contacting people for permission to photograph in the fields, and then I contacted Wrenn.  She first popped up on my radar when I saw her beat box at an a cappella concert, and I've been following her work ever since.  She's actually releasing her first album this coming week.  Check out her website [www.wrennpop.com] for more details, and prepare to fall in love.

Meeting Wrenn was glorious.  She's as sweet as she is talented as she is gorgeous.  Come to find out she's actually a photographer as well and has done all of her own album artwork!  So impressive.  And since I'm a lover of couples' portraits, I asked her to bring along her boyfriend and musical partner in crime, Chris.  I love the images we captured in the short 30 minutes we were there.  I hope you enjoy them as well.  And if you've been itching to do something (like photograph in a cotton field), make it happen!

Matthew & Morgan | Wedding | Chattahoochee Nature Center

Morgan and Matthew had an absolutely gorgeous wedding day at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell, Georgia.  What a perfect venue for this outdoorsy couple - equipped with a lake, more flowers and butterflies than you can count, a meadow for gorgeous outdoor ceremonies, and a beautiful covered pavilion for the reception!  I have enjoyed getting to know Morgan and Matthew over the last year.  It's a joy to witness their Christ-centered relationship and the way they love and honor each other.  They truly made their wedding day unique to their relationship.  Matthew loves hearing Morgan sing, so during the reception Morgan sang "Make You Feel My Love" by Adele to him… and it was glorious.  Many couples enter the reception and go straight into the first dance, but Morgan and Matthew started the reception by playing their first game of corn hole as husband and wife against Morgan's sister and Matthew's brother.  Morgan is an AMAZING pastry chef, and the cakes she made for the reception (especially her pumpkin cheesecake) were out of this world.  Big shout out to D Street Entertainment for turning up the party -- always love working with these talented DJs!  All in all, it was a amazing day with family and friends, and I hope these photos captured the magic.
