Lydia and Jesse, high school sweethearts, got married on July 12, 2014 at North Metro First Baptist Church and held their reception at 550 Trackside in Lawrenceville. They decided not to see each other before the ceremony, but photos were extremely important to them and they didn't want to try to squeeze in all of their photos between the ceremony and reception. Therefore, we ended up doing all of their couples portraits after their exit, and it was amazing!!! My only concern about doing all of the photos after the wedding was how tired they might be after a long wedding day. But I was wrong! Lydia wore white Converse shoes, which might explain why she was still chugging along at the end of a very long day! And if her cheeks got tired from smiling, I never knew because she was absolutely glowing and grinning till the very end. We were able to take our time and even travel to downtown Lawrenceville to get a change of scenery. I absolutely love the photos we captured, and I don't know if I've ever seen a bride radiate happiness the way Lydia did. The unique details of their reception were wonderful as well. They had large (probably 24x36 inch) prints from their engagement session hanging on the walls, which added such a beautiful backdrop. And this was my first-ever reception with an ice cream bar -- now that's what I'm talking about! Lydia and Jesse made a sundae together and fed it to each other in the adorable take-home ice cream cones. Oh, and of course they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife to Rick Springfield's "Jesse's Girl." :) All in all, it was a splendid day with family, friends, and so much love.

"Quick, run and take a photo with the train!" said a few people as the train unexpectedly came by during bridal party photos. |
