Mackenzie & Josh
These two former Redcoats are now getting married! I had such an amazing time during our engagement session, and I think the pictures show how much fun Mackenzie and Josh had as well! We started at the Botanical Gardens in Athens, which is blossoming beautifully right now due to all the rain we've had. Then we headed downtown to take photos at Yoguri (or what used to be Yoguri), where Josh and Mackenzie had their first date! And we also stopped at Athens First United Methodist, where they are getting hitched next June! I can't wait to photograph their special day! Oh, and at the end of the night, after Mackenzie and Josh introduced me to Taqueria del Sol (so good!!), we headed back to my place to set up a night shot I've been dying to take... I think it turned out marvelously, don't you? I'm so grateful to work with couples that trust me and are willing to try out my crazy ideas!

Melissa & Derek 9-6-13
Melissa and Derek are a couple that I feel truly blessed to have met and worked with. Their engagement session is still one of my favorites to date. Melissa came to Georgia just a couple years ago from the west coast and met Derek through attending 12Stone Church. Their relationship is grounded in faith, and their love for each other truly is amazing to witness.
On September 6th, Melissa and Derek read their personal, adorable vows to one another at Four Oaks Manor in Hamilton Mill. The venue was perfect for Melissa, who enjoys adding her own DIY (do-it-yourself) touches to everything. I've now photographed her on three separate occasions, and she brings her own props every time! Every detail of the wedding was beautiful, and their nighttime reception was lit by twinkling lights between the trees - talk about romantic!
My favorite part of photographing Melissa and Derek's wedding was meeting their family and friends, who came from Washington, Norway, Nevada, Florida, and more! Even Derek's 95 year old grandfather made it out to party with us!
